Dayum. We’ve done good this year so far.

For the last several years, Darren Seeman from scionlife.com has organized a toy drive competition between a group of automotive enthusiast websites. One of the leading sites each is year is my own my.IS, a Lexus IS enthusiast site. At the time of this writing, members of the my.IS website have donated over $1600. Scionlife has definitely upped the ante this year with the help of outside donations, pushing their contribution to almost $4000. The total for all participating sites as of 11/24 is $10,001 with 18 days remaining.

This past weekend in the Keys, my wife and I photographed a really great couple. Stacy was incredibly gracious and simply stunning. We actually had some time before the ceremony (rare and precious) to take them to a few places around the resort for pictures. I’m very happy with what we got, even though we had to rush most of the shots. Someday I’ll be able to take my own damn sweet time, right?

For whatever reason, this jacket has popped up a few times on delicious. It looks like it has some neat features (lots of inside pockets, vents, etc) and I like the jacket - I think. But I can’t really tell because I can’t see a REAL PICTURE of what it looks like! I mean, seriously, I’m supposed to buy clothing from a catalog based on a sketch? Coincidentally (or not?), I received a Duluth Trading Company catalog in the mail yesterday. Some of their stuff looks really cool, except all the pictures in the catalog are SKETCHES! I’m sure it’s wonderful in marketing land - gives the catalog an edge or something… But remember the Infiniti commercials where they didn’t show the CAR? I need to see the clothes dammit.

Found this on the Intarweb today: 12 Rules for Marriage. It’s a pretty good list. I’ve been married 13 years now and can agree with the advice - I might have to write my own list soon.
